t2e trades first recovered paper contract

The UK's trading floor the Environment Exchange (t2e) settled its first recovered paper contracts at the end of last month.

Spot trade, two collected loads of old corrugated cardboard (OCC) at 110 a tonne, took place on 18 October and were settled on 31 October.

The UK's latest reprocessing and export figures were not as good as those for quarter two, the Environment Agency revealed at the end of last month when announcing its Quarter 3 (Q3) figures for packaging recovery notes and packaging recovery notes for export (PRNs and PERNs).
